Caregiver Affirmations
Affirmations can be a very powerful way to set intentions and focus your mind on what you want (or want more of) in your life. From the list below, choose a few affirmations that seem particularly appealing, meaningful or important to you at this moment. Feel free to modify them so they sound like your voice but keep them positive. Then read them to yourself one or more times each day, either silently or out loud. Your subconscious cannot tell fact from fiction, so it believes the affirmations are true and will begin to organize your life in a way to make them true. Therefore, reading the affirmations to yourself works as self-hypnosis, like updating a computer’s operating system. However, if a part of your mind tries to tell you the affirmation isn’t true or isn’t possible, try changing the wording to overcome the objection. For example, change “I am a source of love and comfort” to “As time goes by, I am increasingly becoming a source of love and comfort.” Some people believe there is also a metaphysical aspect to affirmations, observing that positive things seem to manifest in their lives when they believe those things are possible and focus on desiring them
